I also wasn't happy with the limitations of the 'home' version when I could more or less get all the functionality that I needed via free/foss tools. I haven't played with MobaXterm in a while but last time I did I was not happy with the X11 support compared to the paid Xming, or Vcxsrv. If you actually want the X11 server, and other stuff, then go with MobaXterm. If you are using it simply to open a bunch of RDP/Putty sessions then mRemoteNG is the better choice and MobaXterm will feel very bloated.

So the question is, what are you actually using the tools for. Like an X11 server, its own clients for various protocols, tons of plugins and so on. The program is light weight, and is even available as a portable app. MRemoteNG is mostly just a tool that lets you run rdp/vnc/putty in a Window with tabs. The two tools really aren't a direct match feature wise.
